OFFICIAL: Danijel Marčeta signs for Hellas but he will be loaned to Lanciano

Another good signing made by Sean Sogliano as the Verona sporting director has secured the Slovenian attacking midfielder Danijel Marčeta from Koper. The has been sold in co-ownership with Serie B opponent Lanciano.


Marčeta, born in 1989 in Kranj (Yugoslavia), started his footballing career with his hometown team Triglav Kranj (37 apps, 5 goals) before he was signed by Serbian Partizan that decide to loan him to Scottish team Falkirk (15 apps).
Danijel was then signed by Koper in 2010 where he played 35 games scoring 4 goals.
He was also part of the Slovenia U21 team where he collected 11 appearances and 1 goal.
