Hellas Verona new defender Emanuele Pesoli could face a three years ban from the game after he was charged with sporting fraud, in relation to his time with Varese.

The 31-year-old is accused to fix the match Siena-Varese of the 21st May 2011 by asking to former AlbinoLeffe player Carlo Gervasoni the availability of Siena players to fix the game.

The hearing are due to being on August 2nd.

Hellas Verona sporting director Sean Sogliano said about this fact: "We're very sorry about that. We knew he could face some problems due to this incrimination but we're calm. We believe in Emanuele.
However we haven't deposit his contract to the Lega Calcio and we have an agreement with both Siena and Pesoli: if we'll be judge guilty then the deal won't have any value and he will return to the bianconeri".

In that case Hellas Verona must sign another centre-back as Sogliano has confirmed.
