Hellas Verona travelled to Vicenza to face the biancorossi at 'Menti' in a spirited derby.

Vicenza showed they are a tough team with very good potentialities in the attack and after ten minutes they took the lead with former Cesena forward Malonga. The scaligeri stayed concentrated and turned over the match before half time with Cacia who scored twice.
In the second half Vicenza equalized on penalty after a clear foul by Maietta but ten minutes later the same Maietta scored the winning goal after a Jorginho's free kick.

'11: Goal for Vicenza! Pinardi converts the penalty despite Rafael touched the ball;
'20: GOOOAAALLLLLLL!!! Free kick from the right and Maietta scores to give again the lead;
'27: cross from the left, Semioli heads it but Rafael easily blocks;
'39: Crespo down the right crosses to Cacia who immediately passes to Gomez, whose shot is cleared by Vicenza defense;
